Dr. A.K. Dahama joined as Vice-Chancellor, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner on March 24, 2011. Born on July 20, 1952, Dr. Dahama obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Agronomy from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. During his distinguished career at SKRAU, Bikaner, he has served at various important positions including Professor & University Head, Department of Agronomy; Associate Director of Research (NARP); Associate Director of Research (Adm.); Dean, College of Agriculture.; Director, Planning & Monitoring and Director, Institute of Agri Business Management. He has also served at JNKVV, Jabalpur (M.P.) and SKUAST, Srinagar, J&K. Dr. Dahama also possesses experience of the Corporate Sector having served Hindustan Lever Ltd. (presently Hindustan Unilever Ltd.) and was instrumental in promoting use of DAP and its marketing in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during 1985-89.

Dr. Dahama has guided 3 Ph.D., 3 M.Sc. and 103 MBA students and published more than 120 research papers, popular articles, manuals, bulletins, books etc. Dr. Dahama has been associated with several professional societies/ bodies. He has been the Vice-President of the Indian Society of Agronomy and had been conferred the honour of Fellow, ISA in 2006 for his contribution in the field of Agronomy. As Member of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Dahama was instrumental in organizing the IVth Agricultural Science Congress at Jaipur in 1999.

As Centre Director, CII TDB TNeT Centre established at IABM, Dr. Dahama made significant contribution in strengthening institute-industry interface which helped in projecting the IABM as a leading B-School offering Agri Business Management Programme. The significant contribution made by Dr. Dahama has also been recognized by several institutions/ bodies/ organizations like ICAR, ASPEE, International Institute of Education and Management, Indian Solidarity Council, All India Achievers Foundation, Association for Economic Growth and Social Development, Marquis Who's Who etc. by way of bestowing awards and honours. He has also been associated with NUFFIC, Netherlands and Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia in developing academic programmes related to Agri Business Management.
